January 2018

Bangourake's drum and dance study tour to Guinea aims to provide students with the ultimate African experience. Students from all over the world are drawn to Guinea to study percussion and dance with the many outstanding artists still practising their musical heritage. This study tour focusses on music and dance, providing you with the opportunity to learn traditional rhythms and dances in an African environment. You will study with people who know and understand the roots of the djembe and its rhythms as the djembe originates from Guinea and the Manding tribe. You will learn traditional dance from some of the best dancers in Guinea. In addition to total immersion in music and dance, you will experience daily life in Africa, attending traditional ceremonies, eating traditional food, and visiting villages as well as islands off the coast of Guinea.                        Download the flyer for all booking information.
